This is the third of four sessions focused on the topic of "The Walk-Through." In the previous session, we discussed Philippians 3:12-14, where the Apostle Paul urges us to forget the things behind us. "Forget" here means to lose or neglect, and Paul emphasizes letting go of emotions, relationships, and traditions that no longer have a positive impact on our lives. By doing so, we gain the ability to press forward. Paul reminds us that holding on to the past creates a struggle to move forward. Neglecting the past allows us to direct our attention to what lies ahead. During your walk-through, ask yourself: What emotions or memories trigger you? Once you identify these triggers, visualize yourself moving away from them. Joshua 1:8 speaks about meditating on God's word. Meditation is like creating something new, just as baking a cake requires ingredients. Your new thoughts, ideas, emotions, and mindsets should replace the old ones. If you realize that what you initially desired isn’t what you want anymore, revisit the D.A.R.N. principle: Desire, Ability, Reason, and Need. Paul’s motivation came from what lay ahead. Do the same for your walk-through. Take five minutes each day to reflect, identify what you need to leave behind, and focus on creating new memories and beliefs. Purge anything that no longer serves you, including people who shouldn’t have exclusive access to your life. I am passionate about self-intimacy and want you to confidently use these sessions to heal and become whole. Ask yourself: Does anyone want what I have to offer? Be confident that with God and your gifts, you can be a problem-solver for others. Take your walk-through and know that your life is being transformed for the better.
