Let's begin with John 10:10: “The thief does not come except to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” In this scripture, Jesus clearly defines His purpose in our lives and contrasts it with the enemy’s purpose. The enemy’s aim is to steal, kill, and destroy, while Jesus came to offer us an abundant life. As we explore confidence further, let this be a reminder of the promise we have in Him.

Reflect On Your Confidence Challenges

Think about this: What is the worst insult someone has ever thrown at you? How did it impact your confidence and hold you back, either then or now? Reflecting on this can help you identify limiting beliefs you’ve accepted about yourself. Remember, with God, there are no limits to what we can achieve. So, what beliefs or labels have restricted you?

When you begin to build your confidence, expect opposition—even from unexpected places, such as family, friends, or colleagues. The enemy may use people or situations to steal your dreams and diminish your self-worth. Prepare your heart and mind to face these challenges, keeping your focus on the abundant life Jesus promised.

Identify And Release Limiting Beliefs

Consider the areas in your life where your confidence has been shaken. Maybe a broken relationship shattered your dreams, or perhaps you’re holding on to past hurts or an idea of what life “should” be. Write down the names of people or the specific events that have impacted you. Assess whether these influences have been positive or devastating to your growth. If you discover deep wounds that require healing, seek Godly counsel or additional resources to support your journey. Remember, confidence in Christ is unshakeable, and He desires for you to live a life filled with purpose and abundance.
