Understanding Confidence
Confidence is an internal trust and closeness with yourself. It is the feeling or belief that you are capable of accomplishing whatever you set your mind to. Sometimes, it feels like God is actively assisting us, while at other times, it may seem like He has left us to figure things out on our own. Regardless of the season you’re in—whether you’re struggling to make things work or everything seems to be flowing easily—confidence is essential. You need a steadfast belief in your abilities and the conviction that you can achieve your goals. Hebrews 10:35 emphasizes the importance of confidence. The writer is telling us not to cast it away because it brings great rewards. These rewards often come in the form of personal promotion or advancement. Before any significant breakthrough or graduation in life, your confidence lays the foundation for feeling good about yourself and your decisions. This self-assuredness gives you the endurance needed to accomplish God’s will.
The Rewards Of Confidence
Confidence not only makes you feel good about your choices but also opens the door to endurance. Endurance, in turn, leads to greater rewards and opportunities for promotion. Whether you’re navigating the end of a long-term relationship, feeling stuck, or seeking a new direction, building your confidence is crucial. Believe in your calling and what God has prepared for you. With this confidence, you’ll be ready to move forward, opening doors to new opportunities that align with your destiny.
Building Confidence Through Consistency
Think of confidence as the consistent practice of certain habits or actions. By repeatedly doing things that strengthen your confidence, you’ll start producing new, positive behaviors. This consistency helps push out harmful or distracting habits, leading to a process of transformation. It’s vital for the people you’re called to help to recognize and appreciate your authenticity and gifts. You don’t need their jealousy; you need their genuine support and celebration. You’ll know people celebrate you when they respect your words, talents, and contributions. In forming your professional and personal goals, surround yourself with those who honor and respect your journey. You cannot have a healthy relationship with someone who doubts your worth or fails to acknowledge the value of your calling.
Letting Go Of Those Who Don’T Support You
If people in your circle don’t believe in or respect your purpose, don’t waste energy trying to change their minds. Their approval isn’t necessary for you to fulfill your destiny. Focus on your path and trust that, in time, the right people will come into your life—those who are convinced and uplifted by your presence and purpose.
