Building on the previous session, this principle focuses on understanding what is “suitable and compatible.” After realizing where I had compromised, I had to admit my mistakes. I had to acknowledge that I had formed agreements with situations and people that contradicted my core values. I realized that many of these relationships weren’t fulfilling or Godly. As I sought healing, I asked God, “What is suitable and compatible with who I am now?” The word “suitable” means adapted or appropriate for a specific purpose or person. I began to focus on seeking what was truly suitable for my life, not just on who or what I encountered. This principle extends to every area of life, including relationships. I prayed, “God, bring me what is appropriate for where I am.” Even in my marriage, when facing conflicts, I pray for the suitable and compatible response. Years ago, when praying for a life partner, I asked God to send someone suitable.

“Compatible” means existing in harmony. True compatibility allows us to live and work together peacefully, aligned with our core selves. By asking God for what is suitable and compatible, we invite relationships and opportunities that align with our purpose. The more we compromise, the more we distance ourselves from our true selves. Shedding these compromises allows us to live authentically. Pray with intention: God, bring into my life the person, place, or opportunity that is appropriate and harmonious with my true self.
